Table of Contents for teddy bear crochet
Teddy bear crochet : we’ll begin by crocheting the body and head together, making sure there are no seams or gaps for a clean finish. This will be followed by the arms, legs, and ears which we will work on individually before attaching them.
As simple as it seems, each step needs a careful approach, but we will make sure to proceed step by step without rushing. To stuff our teddy bear and make it cuddly, we will use fiberfill.
Embroidering one eye and adding a safety mouth gives our teddy bear a wonderful character that we all admire.

Tips

The fact that I tend to miss stitches is a problem I have from time to time when crocheting on a regular basis.
Every new crocheter should put on the marking button (yellow in this article) right after the first stitch is done.
Also don’t forget to put on the marking button (the blue one in the article) after the final stitch is made.

As pre-defined, every round begins with a chain stitch (ch) which elevates the round to the required height.

Fiberfill

At this stage, we can transform our teddy bear by adding soft, squishy fiberfill into its body. We will gently and evenly insert small amounts of fill into the opening using either fingers or a stuffing tool. Remember to shape the bear as you go along—evenly distributing stuffing while making sure the bear feels cuddly and not lumpy. The fill must be enough for the body to keep shape, but not so much that it stretches the stitches.

The fiberfill is completed.

After slip stitch (sl), it resulted in total of 6 stitches for round 21.

Cut the yarn end and use hook to bring out the yarn end.

The opening still has six stitches left to be closed, which remain prominently visible gaps.
Using a yarn needle allows us to close it by picking up one stitch every other stitch.

Then conceal yarn end with yarn needle.

The body of teddy bear is completed, which has no any gap.
