Crochet Butterfly Pattern Step-By-Step Tutorial

We crochet 3 chain stitch in to magic ring.

We crochet the first double crochet , then we put the yellow marker with first stitch.

3 double stitches are completed.(show as picture)

We crochet 2 chain stitch again in to magic ring .

Then we crochet 3 double crochets again.

We crochet 2 chain stitch again.

2 groups (3dc, 2ch ) are completed.

We need crochet 6 groups above same method.

8 groups in to magic ring for crochet butterfly pattern.

You can see eight small holes due to we crochet 2 chain stitch.

The strands of yarn from magic rings can be held with the left fingers toward left to tighten yarn end , and the fabric pinched with the right hand.

This aids in creating the center which is very small and resembles an ‘O’ gap.

We put hook to insert the first stitch with yellow marker , which in order to slip stitch.

Yarn over , bring out the two loops on the look ,we get one loop, which is slip stitch.

Leave 5 cm yarn end.

Use hook to bring out yarn end.

We threaded the needle and carefully inserted it into the fabric’s stitches to conceal back stitches.

We performed a few circular stitches to ensure the yarn was secure. This ensured that the work was tidy and there was no mess.

We put purple yarn behind fabric.

Then we crochet 3 chain stitches firstly.

The first double stitch is completed, which is yellow marker with first stitch.

Then we crochet 2 chain stitches.

We need crochet 3 double stitches in same small holes for the first groups.

We use the same method (3dc,2ch,3dc) to crochet next 7 groups for round 2.

We put hook to insert the first stitch with yellow marker.

Yarn over, bring out the two loops on the hook ,we get one loop,which is slip stitch.

Leave 5 cm yarn end.

Use hook to bring out yarn end.

Conceal yarn end.

We put the blue yarn behind fabric on the small holes .

We crochet 3 chain stitches firstly.

The first double stitch is competed, which put the yellow on the first stitch.

We crochet 6 double stitches again.

We crochet the 3 chain stitches, then slip stitch into the first chain of the 3 to form a tiny bump, which is picot stitch.

Then we crochet 6 double stitches again.

We put hook to insert next chain stitch.

Then crochet single crochet in next chain stitch.

The 3 groups are completed (show as picture).

We use same crochet method [(6dc,1picot,6dc),sc] to crochet next 4 groups pattern for round 3 .

We put the hook to insert the first stitch in order for slip stitch.

Bring out the two loops ,we get one loop, which is slip stitch.

This the final effect of slip stitch.

Leave 5 cm yarn end.and cut yarn end, use hook to bring out yarn end.

To fold the butterfly, we gently fold the center of the fabric right side together. which form butterfly shaped.(show as picture)

Crochet 32 chain stitches firstly.

Then we wrap a string of chain stitches tightly around the center to form the body of the butterfly. We tie a knot to secure and weave the ends together. This folding gives the butterfly its unique shape and structure.
